Synopsis/Details
Best friends throughout law school, Ted Trueblood (Cherokee) has a bone to pick with Buck Cochise (mixed-blood Apache-Sioux), who has applied to a New York law firm behind his back. They had agreed -- no job applications, they were going to go into practice together. Of course, Trueblood's idea of practice is more by way of detective work than courtroom lawyering. The day before they are scheduled to graduate, Trueblood happens on his building super being murdered in a drug deal gone bad, then takes it upon himself to track down the killers, dragging a very reluctant Cochise along with him. Through a bit of nifty detective work, and with more than a touch of humorous panache, they crack the case, but not before dodging bullets. They then decide to go into practice together as lawyer-detectives, in Cochise's hometown of Silver Hills, South Dakota.
