Synopsis/Details
Up Close And Person was written in the spirit of the 1940s and 1950s Film Noir. JACKSON is a two-bit criminal and thug. He and GLORIA were once lovers. After Gloria is a witness to Jackson executing two men, Jackson disappears from Gloria’s life...until now, three months later. Jackson summons Gloria to a meeting at his apartment. When Gloria arrives for the meeting, she finds Jackson armed and sitting alone in his dimly lit living room. The meeting is not a meeting at all; it is a confrontation. While Jackson trains his gun on Gloria, she slowly reaches into her purse and pulls out her own handgun. There is suddenly one gunshot. VINCENT creeps out of the shadows of the apartment, holding his gun by his side. Gloria giggles at the sight of Jackson, dead in his chair from a single gunshot to the head.
