
Synopsis/Details
Teia Gibson attended her 20th Class reunion at Holt High School in 2018 freshly divorced. She left her divorce paper unsigned in Anchorage, Alaska before heading to Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She worked as an accountant but stopped after becoming a mother and husband became an executive at the pipeline.
At O'Neal's restaurant, Teia bumped into an old classmate, Conrad Gibson, whom they never talked much during junior high and high school. Conrad ran the East Tuscaloosa Tribune, a newspaper that focused on the areas of Holt, Cottondale and Peterson, printing three times a week (Wednesday, Friday and Sunday).
With the eatery crowded and no time to spare, they sat together.
Teia inquired Conrad's love life. Conrad confirmed he was single. Teia asked Conrad if he wanted a one-night stand with her. He was flattered and accepted.
The weekend fling resulted in Teia getting pregnant. She left Anchorage and moved in with Conrad and his daughter, Cookie. The two females did not get along, merely tolerated each other.
Before leaving Alaska, Teia had a falling out with her son, Brad Jr., whom they battled. BJ listened to his father, Brad, belittle Teia. She told BJ his father was an abusive drunk.
In Alabama, Teia settled into the Deep South's living. She returned to her hometown roots and followed Alabama football. During this time, she and BJ made peace.
Teia gave birth to a little girl named Diamond. A year after the class reunion, she and Conrad got married.
