Synopsis/Details
Three friends are in a rock band; they love music and want the rich and fame that goes with it. They have been in the band for a while but lack the drive to practice, book gigs and record. They are all talk and very little production and progression.
Rather than practicing they spend their time at day jobs, playing computer games like Guitar Hero, shopping for music memorabilia and failing in their hunt for sexual relationships.
The rest of their time they spend talking about their band, how big they could be and when they should practice next. Unfortunately, they never manage to arrange the right time to play together so the band continues to remain dormant. Something always gets in the way of them having a practice, whether it’s a work commitment or pure laziness. They lack the basic drive to succeed.
They also have the problem of not having a singer in the band despite thinking they can manage without one.
They are not short of planning and talking as they are constantly trying to contact promoters, updating the band website and creating their own merchandise line even though they are yet to play a gig together. They could be a hugely successful online band and not even touch an instrument.
The comedy will heavily focus on music and the band. There will be many references to celebrities and musicians.
It will also focus on their struggles with day-to-day life, relationships, competitiveness, jealousy and making fun of each other’s flaws.
The jokes and style of comedy will be similar to that of The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men and Friends.
Each episode will follow its own story with some continuing developments throughout the series in the same way that The Big Bang Theory and Friends did.
Think The Big Bang Theory but instead of scientists they are musicians and instead of being successful in their field they are far from it.
