Tunnels

Set mainly underground in a series of tunnels, the show is about a group of people who wake up not knowing why they are down there or how to get out. Their adventures in the underground maze sees them cross each other's paths, lose each other and find new people while unexplainable mysteries get in their way. Their main goal is to find a way out but things change, thus altering what they really want. Some of the characters are unaware why they are there or what they must do there while others have a specific goal to fulfil. The tunnels look abandoned but soon become populated with more people and sinister secrets. Those stuck in the tunnels will be linked to each other or the tunnels themselves but won't know it until they are forced to share past secrets as the series develops. Every person put in the tunnels has been carefully selected for a specific reason, be that their skills or past. As well as the captives, the captors/tunnels staff will form a major part of the developing story. They have a particular mission and secrets to protect. The series will not solely be set in the tunnels. There will be sub plots and side stories set outside involving family members of those in the tunnels, tunnel investigators and other character stories connecting to the tunnels. The episodes will link together to form a long story throughout the series. Each episode will have a cliff-hanger ending to lead to the next episode. Further episodes have been planned/written as well as further story ideas and character arcs. The pilot episode starts with Kieran, Natalie and Leah waking up confused in the tunnels. In their pursuit of a way out they experience a murder, abandoned rooms and many questions. Natalie and Leah, having grown close to each other are forced to separate but with potentially life threatening consequences. G; a member of the tunnels staff enters to shroud them in more mystery. Sadly, he fails in his mission, putting himself in danger. Meanwhile those on the outside start to get worried and the police begin investigating.
