Blood Knight

I came up with the idea for this story from a fascination with the werewolves, witches, and vampires that worked together on the TV shows The Originals, and Vampire Diaries. In 15th century England, medieval knights and greedy nobles squabble for control over the land. One such knight, sir THOMAS GILMORE fights in tournaments for fame and fortune. Thomas is one of king HENRY V's best knights. He fears he may not be accepted by other nobles. He questions whether the lovely ANNA ELIZABETH, his wife, and most beautiful woman in all of England, truly loves him. He wants desperately to prove himself to her. Thomas leaves Anna alone to manage their estate and follows king Henry V to war. He seeks an alliance with lord BLACKMORE and his friend DONALD EAGER. With the help of FESTUS BERINON, Blackmore and Eager plot his death in secret. The battle of Agincourt becomes the back drop for betrayal of friendship, deceit, and murder. Blackmore and Eager hire an assassin. A ONE ARMED MAN, with a crossbow built into his wooden arm. Thomas dies in battle by the hand of the One Armed Man. After his death he finds that a servant, MARILENA, in which he has mistreated has performed a spell on him. He discovers that he is of the bloodline of the original vampires. Thomas is forced to accept an alliance with Marilena in order to both learn how to live as a man, and as a vampire. Thomas realizes Anna is what's most important to him. They meet GAVIN, an archer left behind after too much drink. The group works to hide Thomas's secret as they work to get back to England. Back in England, Anna fights to hold onto her estate. King Henry V suffers Blakmore's plots and schemes. Eager plans to divorce his wife and take Anna as his bride. Berinon works to replace Thomas in the minds of the king as well as other knights. Thomas and his friends work to get back to Anna. Making it back to England Thomas angrily persues his revenge. Blackmore has discovered Thomas' secret and turns the king against him. The king sends men after Thomas. Thomas rescues Anna from Eager, who was within minutes of sending her to France to become a peasant. He kills Berinon, Blackmore, The One Armed Man, and Eager. Thomas reveals his secret to Anna. They agree to travel to Romania where Thomas will receive more training on how to live as a vampire. A medieval knight, and tournament champion, is forced to face his own demons when he is betrayed and murdered by a close friend. He finds he has been turned into a vampire bent on revenge against those who conspired to kill him.
