Synopsis/Details
In 12rth century England, WILL MARSHALL a young hot tempered knight returns home to England to find his older brother John has taken control of the family wealth. He has no inheritance after his father death. He refuses to be controlled by John and declines to work for lord DAUBNEY. Will finds he has no home or away to earn a living. He meets the beautiful ISABEL DE CLARE. HE saves her from highway men on the road. He escorts her to safety for a fee. Isabel shows little interest in Will. Will then meets JIM BLACKWELL, who offers to train the over enthusiastic Will. Jim desires to be a knight, but is of common birth. Will escorts another nobleman, but he is cheated out of pay. Will takes what he is owed in the lord's horses. Will is eager to earn some cash. He sign up to fight in a tournament. John shows up to put a stop to it. Unable to compete in tournaments Will uses fraudulent documents. Will finds a tournament that John can't control. He performs well. King HENRY V takes notice. Will finds himself in the king's service. He makes s group of friends, ALFRED, PAUL, AND GEOFFREY. Will is tasked with protecting the queen. ELENOR OF AQUITANE. Daubney and his man SUTHERLAND are also chosen. Daubney turns on Will when he is needed most. The queens carriage is attacked on a forested road by an unknown force. Will alone fights to protect the queen. He is wounded and is captured. Near death Isabel and Jim rescue Will.
