Synopsis/Details
TRAVIS WONDERS has a Ph.D in Genetics, but could use some life lessons. He’s in a big rut. His wife, RENEE WONDERS, accepts a job abroad. Travis refuses to move on without her. So, he decides to clone his beloved Renee for one last chance at love.
Travis plans to use a lock of hair from his idyllic first wedding anniversary to clone Renee. The calculations alone will take years, but Travis commits to his ill-conceived quest. That very night, as Travis dreams of his Renee, a massive lighting strike supercharges his lab into maximum overdrive.
Travis wakes up the next morning and just like magic, she’s next to him in bed! CLONE WIFE, is a perfect copy of Renee in every
way, but one. She’s nine years younger. Nine year old DNA = nine year old EVERYTHING. She thinks it’s still 2006! Back when Renee
and Travis were madly in love with each other.
Travis revisits the best days of his marriage through Clone Wife. She radiates that spark Travis fell in love with all those years ago. And this fantastical connection between Travis and Clone Wife somehow effects the real Renee too.
STIG, Renee’s eccentric brother, shows up at Travis’ house. A frantic Travis realizes he must stop Clone Wife from answering the
door! Stig has great news to share: Renee is coming home tomorrow. But Clone Wife steals his thunder when she throws opens the door, the secret’s out! Stig confronts Travis about the “thing” he made.
GUY, Travis’ high school rival for Renee, is a charismatic relationship guru that’s taken the self help world by storm. He’s back in town for a lecture. Guy has plans to exploit Renee to market his live streaming worldwide debut in New Orleans.
The moment Guy sees Clone Wife, he falls for her. Even though she’s all about Travis, that doesn’t stop Guy from trying to
romance Clone Wife. Guy’s advances make it harder for Travis to keep his secret from Renee’s increasingly suspicious family.
Clone Wife is everything in Travis’ life that was great. But what happens when Renee RETURNS and CONFRONTS her youthful self?!?
Travis must find a way to reconcile with both his wives and keep them from killing each other, if there’s any hope for his uniquely
broken marriage.
