Synopsis/Details:

Florence lives a peaceful, if lonely life with her cat in their isolated cottage.

A natural earth tremor causes a fissure to open in the wall of her cellar, releasing The Entity.

Florence becomes unsure if she is alone in her house. The cellar door opens by itself, mirrors tilt. Visitors- whom she welcomes over-enthusiastically, inexplicably run away while she's fetching tea and cake.

In her most scared and confused moment, an efficient and uncaring social worker means-tests her for possible re-housing. The visit doesn't go well.

Facing eviction from her own home- "for her personal well-being" an upset Florence leaves the tea tray where it lies and goes to bed.

The next morning she finds the place has been tidied! Sharp as ever, despite her advanced years, Florence strategically leaves lights on, skews pictures and neglects to put the milk back in the fridge.

Sure enough, on returning from an afternoon in the garden, the house is right as rain!

Florence has an ally!

The social worker returns to give Florence the news she dreaded; She's going to be 're-housed'!
Florence becomes distraught. The Entity cannot bare to see her so upset and shows itself to the hapless councellor who promptly drops dead of fright!

Florence and The Entity are left in a bit of a pickle.

The Entity fixes things with a sense of expedient panashe; The social worker's body is buried in the flower bed.

The Writer: Ron Green

My love for cinema is at it's most fulfilled when I am immersed in a good horror! There is no better feeling than that of creeping terror or dread of what might happen next! When executed well, horror ticks all the emotional boxes for the audience; along with the hit of fear realised, then (usually) overcome, are relief, panic, wonder, awe ...and in the best exponents, some comedy to give laughter . The whole should ultimately provide the audience with a palpable sense of satisfaction. I find the broad church that is the horror genre a liberating world in which to draw from, and add to. Anything is possible, the rules can be made up as one makes their way. Imagination is key. But also... Go to bio
