Synopsis/Details
Harrison, a businessman in his 30s, is asked by an elderly woman to help her cross a busy downtown street. Phoebe, 70s, is sensitive enough to see that Harrison is troubled, engaging him in a deli lunch and a walk around the block. Harrison discloses what's troubling him...the fourth anniversary of his wife and daughter's death, killed by a hit-and-run driver on their way to meet him. If that weren't enough, he's facing the challenge of reconciling his grief with a newfound love. Phoebe helps him get beyond his pain and engage what lies ahead...crossing over from what was to life's possibility. The two part company and Phoebe finds a park bench where she waits...and waits...and watches...until a woman approaches the crosswalk at sunset. A troubled woman. Phoebe is immediately filled with warmth and purpose, and makes her way over, opening the door to a new journey.
