Synopsis/Details
Virginia Wills struggled on the bottom rung her whole life and did what whatever it took to survive. She has not lived a model life; addicted to pain pills, she hustled the streets, and cheated on her on-again-off-again Latino mafia drug-dealer boyfriend.
When someone rats out the mob's businesses, they face threats by cops and rival thugs. The family is convinced it's Virginia and put out a contract on her. Though pursued by hit men, her craving for pain killers and a grudge against her traitorous ex-boyfriend keeps Virginia from just running away.

Table Read My Screenplay (Austin 2021) - Semi-Finalist
Pitch Now (Season 4) - Quarterfinalist
"Damsel is an exciting and emotional crime thriller script. The fights are tense and dramatic, the world is appropriately gritty and raw, as are its cast of criminal characters. The action scenes in particular are a highlight. They are imaginative, visual, and never confusing." - crimemysteryfestival.com reader
"Virginia is also a wonderful protagonist. She is functional in that she drives the story forward in her actions and decisions. She is an active protagonist with a clear goal to at first escape, then get revenge on Caesar. This allows for an exciting and emotionally engaging plot." - crimemysteryfestival.com reader
