23 year old registered nurse Amara Vargas and her 18 year old brother Damani Vargas, suffer the sudden devastating loss of their mother to a drug overdose. After moving in with his sister, Damani has a hard time adjusting to his surroundings, and seeks comfort in the arms of his married high school art teacher. While partnered up with his teacher’s daughter to complete an art midterm, Damani finds himself in a awkward compromising position that threatens his safety and compromises his relationship. Amara who will do anything to protect her brother, discovers that his best friend is hiding a horrible secret that could threaten the lives of those around him. After Damani’s teacher is found brutally murdered, Damani questions the friendships and relationships of those around him, who could possibly have a motive for wanting the love of his life dead.
