Synopsis/Details
How far would you go to prove your family’s innocence? We begin with Aaron being awoken in the middle of the night by a call from his former partner, Mike. Informed that his sister has been hospitalized following a chemical attack on the train from France, Aaron soon learns that his younger sister has been implicated in the attack. Having turned his back on his past as a Counter Terrorism Detective, Aaron is reluctant to reconcile his old ties and fights the shadows of his shady past and reputation for working outside of the lines. When Mike makes it clear the Agency are satisfied Fran is the only suspect, Aaron returns home to begin his own investigation. Intent on proving her innocence, Aaron calls on the aid of his closest friends, reformed criminal Sam and skilled hacker Charlie to help make sense of the crime. Having created his own investigation agency, Gridlock, Aaron spares no expense in unraveling the clues to discover the truth behind the attack. Travelling to Paris, Aaron discovers his sister’s last known location and discovers links to a shady underground operation running heroin from the Eastern Bloc. Crossing paths with the elusive Kostroma Crime Syndicate, the gravity if the situation becomes apparent as a face from Fran’s path offers to help Aaron uncover the truth. When Fran is murdered in hospital, Aaron knows there is more to this than just a simple attack. Boarding the seized train, Aaron uncovers a sinister plot to release a newly created chemical agent into the mainstream drugs supply on British soil. The threat could not be higher and as Aaron and his companions uncover the truth, they discover the face behind the attack and the truth of Fran’s involvement. Regina Albinelor, formerly Elenuta Kostroma, witnessed the murder of her family as a child and has forged a legitimate empire to disguise her true intentions. Wanting to avenge her family’s murder she has planned to erode British society from the inside while striking at the very one who murdered her parents and sister, Aaron’s father. Aaron suffers the loss of his friend as he moves to act against Elenuta and discovers his ally is in fact in league with the plan to release the chemical agent in London. Doing all he can, Aaron places his trust in his former partner and hopes to thwart the attack in the final moments. As the chess pieces align, Mike is poisoned by Elenuta and Aaron must finish what his father started and eradicate the Kostroma syndicate. Unable to follow in his father’s footsteps he saves Mike at the expense of allowing Elenuta to live and despite instigating an accidental release of the mysterious compound, Aaron retrieves the antidote and works to right the wrongs of a woman twisted and corrupted by the hate that burns in her heart.
