Synopsis/Details
The Raven is a dark fantasy series set primarily in modern-day London, where John, a former police constable, is reborn as "The Raven," an agent of Death with the power to explore the past through memories. After a deadly encounter with the supernatural Ripper—an ancient, demonic entity responsible for a series of brutal murders—John is thrust into a battle that transcends time.
Endowed with the ability to traverse memories, particularly reliving his own death in Victorian London, John is tasked with hunting down the Ripper. This ancient evil, who continues to wreak havoc in the present day, leads John to uncover a web of dark conspiracies and supernatural forces. As John navigates his new role as Death’s enforcer, he must come to terms with the powers he has gained, the memories he relives, and the high cost of immortality.
Alongside him is Kimberley Mansfield, a modern-day psychiatrist who becomes unwillingly pulled into John’s world after their paths cross. Together, they delve deeper into history and memory, uncovering forgotten truths and dark secrets that threaten not only John’s mission but the very balance between life and death. The stakes grow higher as John struggles to reconcile his duty as the Raven with his own identity, all while facing increasingly powerful enemies.
The Raven series is planned to span 8 books, with 6 already self-published. The series has garnered international attention for its rich blend of dark fantasy, historical intrigue, and supernatural suspense. Each book builds on John’s transformation and the escalating conflict between the forces of darkness and the fragile order he is sworn to protect.
With its immersive world-building and compelling character arcs, The Raven is poised for even greater success. It’s a perfect fit for fans of Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman or Jim Butcher’s The Dresden Files, and is ready to reach a wider audience with the right agent.
