Synopsis/Details
Lucy is a 30-something woman with some badass super human abilities. She’s engaged to the perfect dude, has a hilariously sarcastic yet loyal best friend, and a cool dog.
The one thing missing from her life is direction.
A few months ago, after Lucy was hit by a car while riding her bicycle, her memory was erased due to amnesia caused by the head injury. Her entire life has become one big question mark inside black hole of mystery.
Not sure who she really is or where her path in life is taking her – or what her path even is! – she works through her aimless life with the help of her babe-tacular boyfriend, her wise therapist, and her crazy and hilarious bestie, as she learns to embrace her weirdness and her mind-based super powers in order to use them for good.
After meeting a mean, drunk lady at a bar, she helps her get justice with the cool brain stuff she can do. Realizing she can use her super powers to mend the broken hearted people of her small town, she discovers a sense of self and purpose in the world.
Whether someone is going through a break-up, has lost a parent, or had their only friend in the world move far away, Lucy uses her powers to help them move on and move forward.
Lucy struggles to maintain the relationship with her fiancée, keep her super human secret from the only people she loves most in the world, and vows to find out more about her life.
Heartbreak Town is a comedy about women, love, friendship, and being an all-around badass superhero. It’s The Mindy Project with super powers.
