Synopsis/Details
Joshua "'Seus" Rossi wakes from a near-fatal motorcycle accident believing he is the literal re-incarnation of Jesus Christ. His brother James Rossi decides to move in with his brother until Joshua recovers. But that's when weird things start to happen. Weird enough for James himself to be unsure as to whether his brother's claims are true. Joshua meanwhile, is under the care of Dr.Stella Addler, one of the leading psychiatrists dealing in brain-injury trauma. The more time she spends around Joshua though, like James, she becomes more and more unsure as to the veracity of Joshua's claims. And the more and more she begins to doubt her sanity. In the background also lurks a mysterious figure, dressed in all white, fedora, and a cane, always holding a tiny red notebook in one hand and a golf pencil in the other. What are the mysterious notes he continually makes in the notebook? Why do bad things, even life-threatening things, always happen when he's around? And what's his relationship to Joshua, if any? James and Jesus uses the biblical theory that Jesus Christ had actual step-brothers and step-sisters, and the idea of what it would be like to grow up with Jesus as your brother At best, the sibling rivalry would be unprecedented. Think "Brady Bunch" meets the "New Testament". It is an examination in "magical realism", that leaves the viewer, and everyone aside from Joshua in the story, continually wondering if Joshua is who he actually claims to be, and of trying to explain-away the apparent "miracles" that happen when he's around.
