Synopsis/Details
Guillermo "Guy" Fabri is a good man. Down on his luck, but with a loving wife and child. Although a year of unemployment has done nothing to ease the panic attacks, and the now existing tensions between him and his wife. As well as coping with his own guilt, shame, and desperation for not being able to provide for his own family. But maybe things are starting to look up for Guy in the form of his first job interview in months. And not just any interview, but one with the world's oldest P.R. firms, Cane Brothers and Associates. But the day's events leading up to his interview, cause Guy to question not only his own sanity, but reality itself. After a heated exchange at a coffee cart with a 6 ft tall albino man carrying a hunting knife, and another strange exchange in the lobby of the office building, this time with a "maintenance man" carrying what he swears is a body-bag, he arrives for his interview. Gilles De Rais, head "recruiter" for the firm conducts the interview. On the surface he seems polished, slick, but something is definitely "off". After a series of overly personal, and starkly inappropriate interview questions, he is asked to make a moral decision, which reveals to him, a dark aspect of himself that worries and scares him. Strangest of all, during the interview he could swear that he saw a bound and gagged man drop past the office window. Although De Rais acts as if nothing happened. At the interview's conclusion, De Rais explains that the interview was a formality, and that he has already been "chosen" to work for Cane Brothers, whether he likes it or not. We now realize that the mysterious albino stranger from Guillermo's run-in at the coffee cart, had been standing at the back of the office during the whole interview. Silently eyeing Guillermo, and playing with his knife. The stranger, Mr. Tremerlaine is excused by Mr.De Rais and leaves the office. Guillermo leaves shortly after, but not before seeing another body drop past the window. He thinks?
How will Guillermo deal with working in such a bizarre environment, and more importantly, how will he come to terms with now having to make sociopaths and dictators look good? The intro episode ends when Guillermo leaves De Rais' office, and receives a text from his wife, asking if the interview went well.
