Synopsis/Details
Imagine a rainbow with only two colors, red and blue. A world without yellow, orange, and green seems unnatural, doesn’t it? But that’s what our present political model asks us to do. Voting in America is essentially a binary choice. You belong to the red team or the blue team. Now there are other voices trying to get their hands on the microphone, but the system is tilted, some would say rigged, in favor of granting only two voices access to the podium. Is it any wonder why the nation is so divided? Now imagine you have a magic wand. Better yet, a superpower, one where your endorsement guarantees electoral victory. Would you ensure your party governs indefinitely? Would you paint the country red or blue? Or would you create a system where every voice is respected. In short, a full spectrum of ideas, beliefs, and points of view are welcomed at the podium. It’s what Bob Erwin envisions for his country. It’s what he’s working towards. But until such time as America is ready to embrace a better way of governing itself, Bob has one piece of advice: In the meantime, think Purple.

As rewarding as those projects were, it was during the process of adapting two of my novels into feature length scripts that I realized I enjoyed the art of screenwriting more than novel writing. I suppose my love of movies influenced the transition. I can still vividly remember watching the original Papillon in the theater as a kid. I sat in… Go to bio
