Synopsis/Details
Madeline Werner is the typical successful suburbanite mother. Together with her dearest friend Laura, the two single parents gleefully watch on as Amy and Michael, their children, seem set for a happily ever after together.
But life is often unpredictable, and quite brutal.
Lured from a local teenage hot-spot, two high school seniors are attacked, and brutally murdered by the "Olympians" a local street gang with a deific theme. Detective Robert Cross has to deliver the news of Madeline's daughter being strung up in an alley on Homecoming night, a crime that will shock the town forever.
Time passes, and no one seems to be answering for the murders. A distraught Madeline sinks further into depression, and when she begins to hear the voice of Amy speaking to her, sets into action to try and get answers. Detective Cross has none, only assumptions and examinations, as no witnesses seem to come forward.
When Cross informs Madeline that he will be questioning a potential criminal in the matter, she stakes out the station and follows Hermes, the speed-freak of the gang to the bad owned by Cyclops, the head of Olympus. Going undercover for a brief spell, Madeline learns of the members of Olympus, and sets about to researching, and plotting.
A brief foray into jiu-jitsu lessons, and an illegal firearm purchase later, and Madeline, along with Amy's voice in her head, begins to stalk and murder the members of Olympus. She is sloppy, however, and has Cross suspicious from the first moment.
Madeline manages to outsmart her tails, using a rental car and her back yard, and continues to barely manage to take out the members of Olympus. It isn't until Ares, the "fighter" of the gang nearly kills Madeline, that she is caught. Ares is put down by Juarez, Dectective Cross' partner, but she lets Madeline go, and takes the blame.
Putting two and two together, Cyclops realizes who Madeline is, and he and Hermes head to her home to kill her, before Robert Cross can get to her. The groups all come to a clash in Madeline's home, where Cross is wounded, but Hermes and Cyclops are killed, with Madeline exacting a brutal revenge on him.
Madeline is then taken into custody, and dubbed "Mad Maddy" as she is escorted to the police vehicle, her unhinged laughter caught in full by the news crew.
