Synopsis/Details
Partners In Grime centers on the naïve and trusting Dale, and his streetwise buddy Garry, as they attempt to hawk the extravagant WacWac 3010 vacuum cleaner to Anyone Willing To Buy It. An initial sale goes to their boss' head - as well as his wallet - but from there on in, Kane cranks up the pressure to get strong outcomes from his slacker team, and actually sell the product. Just as he did when he was Salesman of the Year 1991. But even when a bribe - er, incentive - from the company founder, for an all-expenses paid trip to Hawaii, fails to motivate them all and complacency sets in, the plucky duo are forced into finding their own way home - literally, when Dale's car is stolen.
Fortunately, Garry has an ace up his sleeve; photographic evidence of Kane two-timing Dale's wife, Andrea. So reluctantly, Kane loans them his new Z4 Roadster, allowing them to finish the job. In addition, he calls the remainder of the team into extra training on the weekend, much to their disgust.
Unfortunately, after being set up by two hot babes and their blockhead boyfriend who has bad aim and bad breath, Dale and Garry finish up venting their frustrations on their last lead of the week, elderly couple Keith and Joan Portland, who were promised a quick clean of the carpet, before leaving the country for good.
That is, until Dale accidentally unearths Mrs. Drugland's hidden stash of laundered money from medical drug scams, whilst Kane rants down the 'phone at them, demanding Tweedledum and Tweedledumber give him back his car, or else. Pissed at the discovery - and Kane's rising blood pressure - Dale and Garry hogtie the Portlands, then hotfoot it to Waikiki. Where Andrea has already found herself, with a new business. Because, as the Hot Chocolate song knows: Everyone's a winner.
