Synopsis/Details
Two teenage brothers, having failed to finish high school, con their grandmother into forcing their father to give them his RV for a vacation. They start their trip with grandma, surfing, smoking weed, and relaxing. However, things take a turn when grandma mixes up her medication and falls into a coma after helping the boys set up a date with two surfer girls. The boys, thinking grandma has died due to their negligence, panic as they are in a foreign country and in possession of illegal narcotics. They resort to stealing their RV back from a narco gang who run the junkyard and flee when they notice grandma's body is missing. In a tragic turn of events, they hit grandma while she's wandering on a back road after waking up from her coma. The boys, chased by the police and the biggest narcotic gang in the area, decide to stow grandma's body away in a surfboard bag on top of the RV as they try to cross the international border. Just before crossing the border, a police cruiser appears, causing the boys to panic and stop abruptly. The surfboard bag flies off the roof and lands at the feet of a border patrol officer. Grandma wakes up in the hospital, and everyone is relieved that she had a great trip. The boys, facing the consequences of their actions, receive a lecture from their parents.

The Writer: Vital Butinar

From an early age, Vital Butinar had a passion for filmmaking, sparked by a childhood experience where he and a friend, whose father was a filmmaker, created their first action-packed film at a birthday party. While studying graphic design at university, Vital honed his visual storytelling skills, discovering a love for photography that taught him the art of framing, lighting, and capturing emotion—skills that would later define his filmmaking style.… Go to bio
