Sacred Heart

In this supernatural story, the lives of two groups of people from entirely different backgrounds intertwine as they fight for their lives at an abandoned mental hospital in East Los Angeles. after robbing a liquor store, gangster brothers Luis and Ruben Cruz hide at an abandoned mental hospital (Linda Vista Hospital in East Los Angeles) But they soon realize they are not alone as Luis spots a pair of giant, dirty feet under a bathroom stall, Ruben goes in to investigate. A shot is fired… and when he appears again there is blood oozing from his shoulder, then his arm falls off. Ruben screams at his terrified young brother to run for his life… He does. Paul Green, an artist from a rich family is out celebrating with his girlfriend Suzan and friends Jeff and Ashley, his full recovery following a major heart transplant operation. But things aren’t going so well for Paul that night as he hears a mysterious voice calling his name while in the bathroom, and later as he drives home he makes a wrong turn and ends up by Linda Vista Hospital and is shocked to see a beautiful, naked woman running scared from inside the hospital onto the street. What seems to be a coincidence, will prove to be an event that will change Paul’s life forever. As Paul calms the strange woman down, offers her clothes to wear and drives her home, she tells him her name is Amy Sloan, but doesn’t offer anymore information. Next day, Paul goes back with Suzan to Amy‘s house to check up on her and is met by her mother Edna and mentally retarded brother Ernie, who‘s a giant of a man. Paul gets the shock of his life when Edna tells them her daughter Amy has been dead for a year Paul and his friends start to investigate. Ashley does the research and confirms that Amy had died a year ago from cancer. Later on when Suzan visits Paul at his house they discover a strange painting in Paul‘s collection, a painting of Amy, dressed in the same exact outfit Paul had given her when he picked her up…And it‘s dated the 4th of July, the same day Paul had his operation…Paul goes crazy. His mother Janet, the very strong and controlling woman, refuses to believe the story and accuses Suzan of playing games on her beloved son…. More research by Ashley reveals that Edna Sloan was a nurse at Linda Vista Hospital before it closed down. At Linda Vista, Luis wanders aimlessly looking for Ruben when he suddenly hears a strange noise behind a closed door, he peeps through a key hole and sees his dead brother laid on a gurney, his body is cut open and someone is carefully taking out his organs. Luis can’t help but to let out a scream, and that‘s when he is suddenly hit from behind and loses conscience…and when he comes around he finds himself tied up on a gurney…Edna Sloan gives him a chilling stare before she gets her surgical tools and methodically pulls out his eye. Suzan somehow becomes the target of Amy. While on a night out with Paul and the group, she is attacked and severely injured in the bathroom of a night club as the lights suddenly go out. Few days later as she recovers, Suzan storms into Edna’s house and demands an explanation to what’s happening to them. Edna attacks Suzan. Suzan fights back and nearly overwhelms Edna but she is suddenly hit from behind… and seconds before losing conscience she turns and looks at her attacker, who is no other than Janet Green. Suzan wakes up and finds herself in Linda Vista tied up in a small room with Luis, who’s severely injured. In the mean time Paul and his friends follow all the leads which direct them to the hospital as well. There, they split up to look for Suzan. In one of the rooms, Jeff and Ashley run into Ernie, who had committed many murders on behalf of his mother. Athletic Jeff takes on Ernie in a fight to the death while Paul finds Suzan who had released herself with the help of Luis before they split up. Paul and Suzan finally find Edna who had turned on Janet and tied her up on a chair getting ready to kill her. Finally the secret is revealed to Paul by Edna. Paul’s heart had failed and he was living on life support when Janet is contacted by Edna who offered her a matching heart to Paul’s: the heart of her own daughter Amy, for a very large sum of money. Janet pays…Ernie kills his sister…and Paul lives. In the process many lives has been altered forever as few members of the group will never make it out of the hospital.
