Synopsis/Details
SARAH GARCIA (23) plump and pretty with a heart of gold is in love with her fiancé, NATHAN JONES (23), a big shot pretender with loser credentials. To the delight of Sarah’s parents, Nathan is off to work on a cruise ship for the summer. To their dismay, he’s coming back. After saying goodbye to Sarah, Nathan goes out for one last party night with his two best friends – JOSH, a typical stoner still living off of high school glory days and AARON, a buttoned down college graduate who has always been secretly smitten with Sarah. Once sufficiently buzzed, Nathan reveals to Josh and Aaron that he is breaking up with Sarah and that he plans to give Sarah this news through a test message before he boards the ship. Aaron, disgusted by Nathan’s plan, convinces him that he needs to do it face to face. Nathan reluctantly agrees. Later that night, while smoking the last of their weed, Nathan and Josh hatch a plan. They’ll make a break-up video - much more personal than a text message. With Nathan being stoned out of his mind and with the useless assistance of a wasted Josh, the end result it is not exactly artful. Nathan talks about his problems with Sarah’s weight, the lack of her sexual experience and other personal items. Being stoned, they accidentally load the video for public, rather than private, viewing and also accidentally post it to all of the friends on Sarah’s Facebook account. The break up video goes viral. Sarah, a very private person, is now humiliated in the worst of public ways. Worse yet, she ends her friendship with Aaron, not believing that he was not in on the scheme. Over Aaron’s protests, HEATHER, Sarah’s best friend, convinces her to fight fire with fire. They turn Sarah’s bedroom into a makeshift studio and create a You Tube series – “The Problems With Nathan Jones.” The series of comical videos explores ALL OF Nathan’s weaknesses, from his small IQ to his small penis size. They go viral and unbeknownst to Nathan, (away on his cruise) he has become an internet villain. Due to the internet popularity, a TV network approaches Sarah and Heather to do a romance advice based reality show. Heather’s all in. Sarah knows better. She has become someone she is not and in the process embarrassed herself and her parents. When Nathan returns from sea, now infamous and maligned, Sarah finally decides that enough is enough and takes down the video series. Revenge wasn’t sweet. It was wasted time. That realization allows Sarah to move forward and creates room in her heart for her true soul mate – Aaron.

The Writer: David Lambertson

Hmmm - how does one craft a writing biography for one that has not spent a life writing? I'll give it a shot. I knew I wanted to be a writer when I was eighteen. I started writing when I was 56. In the years between I got married, had children, got divorced, got married again, had grandchildren and spent more than thirty years as a Government bureaucrat. Exciting - I know. There is good news and bad news in that. The bad news of course is that I spent my life working at a career other than the one I wanted to have. The good news is that I garnered enough life experiences to make my writing more meaningful than it would have been as an eighteen year old. Despite starting late, I have enjoyed… Go to bio
