Synopsis/Details
The Miss Sleigh Belle Christmas Pageant has been a staple in the small-town of Evergreen Valley for 25 years, and to celebrate the silver anniversary, the winner will receive a $25,000 Savings Bond. Sure, it will take another 25 years for the bond to mature, but winning the coveted title is worth its weight in gold. Not an easy feat for local women between the ages of 18 to 21, considering fiercely competitive, Starlette Knight, is a shoo-in to win. The only way the Contestants stand a chance at beating Starlette is if she dies. On the night of the auditions, Starlette is home alone getting ready when she receives a text from her boyfriend “Hawk” (Matt Hawk). He wants a quickie. Starlette texts back that he’ll ruin her hair and makeup when the doorbell rings. Assuming it’s Hawk, Starlette opens the front door to an Intruder wearing a Santa Claus suit and creepy, latex Santa mask. Fear sets in, as Starlette quickly locks the door and runs upstairs. The Intruder crashes through a window and gives chase. The Intruder corners Starlette in her bedroom like a caged animal and bludgeons her to death with one of Starlette’s beauty queen trophies. Sheriff Russ Campbell and his deputy, Andie (Andrea), investigate and arrest Hawk. When more Contestants are murdered, Hawk is released. It’s a race against time for Russ and Andie to find “The Santa Claus Killer” leading up to the big day in a satiric comedy/horror that can be best described as “Drop Dead Gorgeous” meets “Scream.”
