Jim (20s) is a straight-laced, too responsible twenty-something. When his girlfriend breaks up with him over Zoom after falling for an Italian beau while vacationing in Italy, Jim’s brash best friend Dwayne Dance (20s) prompts him to take a local auto dealership up on their offer of a free weekend test drive with any car on the lot. The guys head to the Ford dealership with hopes of getting a nice Mustang convertible for a trip to Atlantic City.
Meanwhile, two witless crooks Eddie and Stiff are toiling away at their restaurant jobs but also planning on making a bag drop for the Mob later in the evening.
Arriving at the local auto dealership, Jim and Dance find a delivery error has sent a sparkling new Aston Martin DB9 to J. Biggs Auto Sales to go along with their usual Ford fleet. When Biggs’ daughter Sarah (20s), a pretty salesgirl with an eye on joining the FBI Academy, is left alone at the dealership, she submits to Dance’s insistence that the dealership be held to their “any car on the lot” advertising. With the understanding that the car can suffer no damage, must remain under 300 odometer miles and be returned by 9:00 am Monday morning, Sarah allows the guys to take the car.
When Dance arrives at the restaurant to pick up his paycheck, Eddie and Stiff confuse that Aston Martin for one they have been instructed to drop the bag into. When Eddie and Stiff realize they’ve put Mob property into the wrong car, they are off after Jim and Dance.
Jim is learning to drive a manual transmission and must learn quickly when Eddie and Stiff confront Jim and Dance in a parking lot. In a hilarious circling chase, Jim bucks and jerks the car away from Eddie and Stiff.
The Mob’s hottest enforcer, Cora (30s) arrives at the restaurant waiting for the absent Eddie and Stiff. She quickly realizes they have neglected their duties and starts after them in her own Aston Martin.
Jim and Dance try to return the Aston Martin to the dealership but are interrupted by Eddie and Stiff, still after the bag. Jim and Dance escape with Sarah as their unwilling passenger. With Cora now also on their heels, Jim, Dance and Sarah make a mad dash to temporary safety. After finding out they have many thousands of dollars in counterfeit cash, Jim, Dance and Sarah hide out with Dance’s odd Uncle Morgan (40s).
Cora takes Eddie and Stiff before the one-eyebrowed Boss (50). The Boss threatens to kill Eddie and Stiff if he doesn’t get his loot back and proposes an exchange with a drop scheduled in an Atlantic City casino for that night.
Using Morgan’s casino ID to enter, Jim and Sarah pose as waiters while Dance deals with the handoff. Dance’s brazen demand for real cash in exchange for the fake stuff causes the deal to go bad and incites the Boss. Aided by Morgan arriving on the scene, Jim has to gather all his courage to rescue Dance. Jim, Dance and Sarah are chased out of the casino by the Boss and his henchmen.
With the clock ticking and the odometer miles mounting, the chase moves to the expressway where Jim will have to prove his driving skill and his self-worth while Sarah finds out if she truly has the chops to be a federal agent.

"The main idea of the story is well conceived…it is also well executed and entertaining. The author does a good job of providing enough twists and turns to the story. All of the plot points and act breaks are well defined as well as properly spaced. Marketing prospects are excellent."
