Synopsis/Details
Please take a look at this film on Vimeo. If I had to pick one film I've done to be seen this is it.
To say that the Twilight Zone is a big influence on my creative thinking is an understatement. It was a big part of my awakening when I was growing up and there lots of moments in the series that still hold true today. I wrote this keeping those lessons in mind and this is the darkest script I've written and produced. It's kind of hard to find the proper genre for this so I settled with film-noir because it's very dark and claustrophobic.
I really pushed the actors on this one. There were a lot of things I didn't tell we were going to do so their reactions are genuine. I also had the challenge of having characters in a confined space with very little movement options to keep things interesting. For the first time we created a dolly track and used the slow camera movement to add to the feel of the piece.
On Vimeo there is a companion piece called Burned and Banned Books. Also something for you to think about.
