The Hellgate

After a year of stagnant growth and an ever growing dread of failure, Stacey and Lilian are spinning their wheels, trying to be successful youtubers. Their channel focuses on heavy metal music and horror movies, their shared obsessions. On the verge of giving up, the two drunkenly trespass onto a graveyard and Lilian accidentally captures footage of a ghost on her phone. Lilian uploads the footage to their channel resulting in a viral explosion, skyrocketing their popularity and finally giving them the edge they need. Her curiosity piqued, Lilian decides to investigate their phantom finding to determine to whom the ghastly visage belonged. They visit the graveyard again for clues, without luck, and finally being chased off by the groundskeeper for "loitering after dark". Later that night, the ghost Lilian captured appears to her in a haunting. As the hauntings grow more frequent and violent, more than just spirits are at play, as the girls inch closer and closer to discovering the source of their tormentors. Derek, a fellow YouTube personality and Anti-Paranormal Investigator, whose videos debunk the existence of ghosts, is determined to prove the girls faked their original footage and challenges them to prove they're really being haunted. The challenge goes better (or worse) than expected as the spirits have become hostile. Convinced, Derek agrees to join their motley crew on their quest to solve the mystery of The Erieview Graveyard.
