Synopsis/Details
Narrated by the thunderously popular Youth Hockey Podcast crew, this story follows Maggie (9) a girl who played hockey in California, then moved to New York when her father got a job at a local university. She played with the boys, but now she has to prove herself to a new club. One that doesn't really have a place for a girl player. The Snow Leopards have been the second best team in the region for as long as anyone can remember. Of course there are a lot of concussions among the fans. Hockey is a rough sport: physically and mentally. Luckily they have some new talent to shake things up and move the club forward. Maggie isn't just a player. She's a bit of a ringer.

The Writer: Heather Maclean

Raised in Lockerbie, Scotland, then the Lake District, I grew up surrounded by literature and beauty. My inclination to travel took me across Europe to Japan and then to the States. There I married, have three kids (not so kiddish now), developed a love of ice hockey, and advanced my education and writing. I hold a doctoral degree in educational technology from Pepperdine University and I have taken many screenwriting classes officially and unofficially through UCLA Extension and CalArts (through my book-writing partner). I consistently receive positive feedback on my work and look forward to advancing my skills and writing career. Go to bio
