Synopsis/Details
SHALIZAR, an immortal Vamurai warrior serving the city of Hakorro, gets tasked by his master, the ambitious, powerful wizard LORD RAUN, to help him reconstruct the Solamortis, a legendary weapon Raun plans to use to overthrow his fellow Wizard Lords and rule the entire planet of Archaleon. After he and his superior, GENERAL GORON, recover a piece of the Solamortis, Shalizar accompanies Raun’s decadent son TOZU to a brothel. There Shalizar gets reunited with his long-lost childhood love ALLYRA, now a Vampirisa concubine, and he kills Tozu before Tozu can defile her. Shalizar helps Allyra escape then gets overpowered by Goron. For his crime, Raun sentences Shalizar to the Burning Death - death by sunlight.
But Shalizar miraculously survives, a fact known only to Allyra and KASHALA, Raun's queen and Shalizar's close friend. Kashala smuggles Shalizar and Allyra out of Hakorro and directs them to the city of Abukar, where they hope to find clues to the location of the rest of the Solamortis. She also informs them of a prophecy about a daywalking Vamurai who will bring peace and equality to the people of Archaleon. Shalizar struggles to accept this destiny, but continues for now to keep Allyra safe from Raun. They’re joined on their journey by MARUS, a human friend from their childhood, and DHARVON, an older Vamurai who secretly loves and serves Kashala. In Abukar, the ghost of LORD ZAN, Kashala’s father, tells them the last Solamortis piece lies inside a mine in the village of Caldona, which is ruled by CHANSZU, a cynical, masterless Vamurai. They receive Chanszu’s blessing to search the mine, but just as Shalizar discovers the missing piece, Goron and Raun’s army attack. Goron succeeds in stealing the piece and seals an injured Shalizar and Dharvon inside the mine. He also captures Allyra and takes her back to Raun, who's imprisoned Kashala for being a traitor.
Shalizar uses his emerging magical powers to escape the caved-in mine, then he and Dharvon convince Chanszu and his men to join them in his quest to destroy Raun. Recruiting Marus and his tribe of nomadic humans, they launch an attack on Hakorro just as Raun activates the Solamortis. Shalizar rescues Allyra and Kashala, and a wild battle ensues, culminating in a showdown between Shalizar and Raun with freedom and fulfillment of the prophecy at stake.
