Synopsis/Details
Emily is an out-of-work actor who’s getting desperate. She’s tired - tired of trekking all over the country for a 5 minute reading, tired of trawling Spotlight because her agent isn’t getting her enough work, tired of turning up to auditions with lines of women who look like hotter versions of her. She knows she’s good enough - she just needs a break. Luckily for her, her long suffering friend who works for the BBC sneaks her into an audition for the latest prime time period drama. Finally - she manages to prove herself by getting to the final few women. But how to seal the deal? Suddenly, one of the other final actors falls in front of a bus and dies. Watching her bleed out on the pavement Emily sees a way forward for her career. She’s always said she’d do anything… and now’s the time to prove it. Over the course of the series Emily’s ambition drives her to become a cold-hearted murderer, killing off the other unsuspecting actors she comes up against in auditions. This is a female-centric show that deals with murder, ambition and how far people will go to get what they want.
