I don't have any experience with them in this area but Greta has always been great to deal with. Keep in mind that you can always set a very short term for representation with the aim to renew a contract if both parties are still happy.
Thank you CJ for letting me know, Ive found them very pleasant and good to deal with but was just wanting to find out a vit nore before i sign anything. Would it be possible to PM you with a couple if questions?
I'm not looking for representation, but I still checked them out to see what they were up to... just yesterday.
So the website's now 'under construction'. (Check 'em out on LinkedIn; still available there)
But I'm here to say that, just in case there were any doubt about it, people and companies we talk about here and on other forums/social media probably pay very close attention to what's being said. Have seen this before. There was old pricing on VirtualPitch Fest, and one time when I mentioned how you could do the 2-fer special pricing deal that topped their 5-er special pricing deal, that promptly ended it right then and there. The proprietor never again offered the 2-fer deal. I'm sure it was because I 'enlightened' other writers as to how they could save a few bucks buying multiple 2-fer deals. On another matter, I see that VPF has increased its prices on the low end deals. Honestly, $25 for 2, and $55 for 5?! Gimme a break.
VPF was bound to go up at some point I guess. Inktip has done the same with their new "pro" service - which is a major price hike. I know some people think we should not pay for script hosting sites, but it's an investment I am willing to make, because the phone won't ring otherwise. I've been fortunate with Inktip with a sale and several options - not so much with VPF though.
Yeah... that was really perplexing/odd. Although the website is certainly fuzzier than need be - it seems to indicate that their interest is in connecting content creators with buyers of content (in addition to selling some of their content enhancement services). This is their mission:
Our mission at Think IP is to promote your content into as many territories as possible. We work with creatives of all types to develop and exploit their intellectual property into an ever-increasing market of digital platforms and traditional broadcasters. We are continually seeking new content for a voracious global audience. So whether you are an established producer or an individual with an idea worth developing - get in touch and let's explore how best we can monetise your project.
I mean, when I first explored the site I was a bit interested as I always thought a virtual agent would be a great business model (i.e., only taking a cut when your stuff sells vs. charging you to sell it). This seemed to be on the cusp of that - but - you need to be a business to join???? Confused.
CJ has actually put this site together in a way that would easily serve that model given all the search capabilities for what someone is looking for in a script. All he's missing is being an Agent. CJ - get on that - I think you could make a killing :)
I applaud the possible creation of a virtual agency and await reports of how it goes.
I can envision a platform where your stuff is attractively packaged and blasted into cyberspace.
Maybe poster, logline, titles followed with an offer to provide a completed script IF someone is interested? Jawboning and networking to churn up interest in the digital age seems a bit too hands-on, but guess all will be revealed in the fullness of time.
Never had any experience with them. I do see on their website that they list Script Revolution as a partner. Maybe CJ can weigh in??
Yes I've spoken to them and they want to represent me so was just wondering if anyone else on this site has had any experience with them.

No problem at all, Campbell.
Campell: They want to represent you as in an Agent's capacity?? i.e., they sell your work, they take a percentage??
Do they require you to sign exclusively with them?
Hi David, yes I've got an Agent Representation agreement from them and you're right, they take a percentage and have exclusivity of my work
Very cool - hope this works out for you
Tried to look them up - website seems to down "under construction."
> under construction

Oh yeah, thanks for the heads up, just had a look and saw.
Nothing's up. I was just trying the Wayback Machine to find an old archive of the site when... it's back up!

The website is back-up. Not sure what to make of it. Just being curious - I tried to sign up - it wouldn't allow me to because I am not a business.
I tried as well - wanted to see what it's all about, but wanted a business email.

Man a digital agency, how cool it'd make a lot easier to like submit scripts and stuff I'd imagine
