Synopsis/Details
This musical romance is set in a New York City tenement and tells the story of Xavier, a Cuban-American and Maureen, an Irish-American. Xavier is a Salsa dancer while Maureen is studying classical ballet at the Juilliard School of Music and Dance.
When Xavier’s partner is not able to dance with him in an important Salsa festival, he asks Maureen to dance with him. After her refusal, he uses his charm to convince her to change her ballet style to Salsa dancing. Hypnotized by his personality, she accepts and they begin intense practice sessions to develop the necessary skills. Soon, however, Xavier and Maureen discover that they share much more than love for Salsa…they share love for each other.
