Synopsis/Details
Modern retelling of "Appointment at Samarra." Larry goes to the hospital to see his dying mother. While he is there, he sees a mysterious woman who happens to be the personification of death. She says she is surprised to see him. The chaplain who visits patients tells him he needs to get as far away as possible. Death catches up with him in his car while he's driving 80 miles per hour and tells him she was so surprised to see him the day before because she was supposed to meet him on a highway 200 miles away from the hospital when he has a car wreck.
