Synopsis/Details
Sally Foster forces her husband Rod to spend four weeks in his old lake cottage so that in its solitude he can complete a new screenplay. If he doesn't complete it, she will admit him to a mental hospital. He suffers from a mental illness, and Sally controls his medical treatment, so she can do it. She has already forced Rod to have an ECT treatment regimen. At first, Rod believes he is alone, but then Erin, an actress, and her 12-year-old daughter pay him a visit. Another actress Abby appears later, and as soon as Rod meets her, he decides he will talk his wife into making her the lead in the film made from the script he'll write, The more he tries to write the more of his past he remembers. Erin starred in his second and third films; both were bombs. Abby starred in his first one. The reason she didn't star in his other two was that she was dead.
