Synopsis/Details
Cara Bennett’s peaceful morning with her girlfriend, Selene Wells, takes a sharp turn when Selene gifts her an old diary with the word 'ASK' engraved on the cover. Curious, Cara flips through its blank pages until she stumbles upon a chilling discovery—whenever she writes a question, the diary responds with the truth. At first, Cara tests it with small questions, like why Selene’s coffee tastes bad, but soon, she digs deeper. The diary reveals that Selene isn’t going to work—she’s secretly meeting another woman, Rose Orwell, a 24-year-old beauty she recently met. Shocked and heartbroken, Cara confronts Selene, demanding the truth. Selene hesitates but ultimately admits that she has fallen for someone else, cruelly telling Cara that she’s “too clingy” and deserves to be alone. Just as the painful moment unfolds, time resets to a few minutes earlier, revealing Cara’s actions in the diary again. But this time, the story takes an eerie turn—the diary’s responses are not random. A mysterious author, identical to Cara, is seen in a dimly lit apartment, typing out 'The Diary of Cara Bennett'. As she writes, reality bends, showing that Cara is merely a character in someone else’s story, her fate dictated by the strokes of a keyboard. Is Cara real? Or just a fictional creation doomed to relive the heartbreak?
