Bare Knuckle

A college dropout, deep in debt with his dead mother's medical bills, is introduced to an underground MMA fight circuit by a hustler who becomes his manager.
Synopsis/Details:

Mark Miller (22) is an only child, he's just buried his mother and the only thing he has to his name is her massive medical bill. His uncle claims not to be able to help with the costs after arriving late for her funeral and Mark attacks him.

After being released on bail, Mark jumps on the first bus to New Jersey for a fresh start. But it's not a great place to be for work. Mark can't find anything anywhere.

Soon after arriving Mark meets Kelly in the Diner where she works. She has eyes for him from the second she lays them on him. The two get talking and she escorts him to a nearby bed & breakfast after her shift.

After a hard day looking for work but to no avail, Mark drops into a store to grab a drink. He spots a shoplifter and confronts in about his stolen Vodka. The giant shoplifter plays nice and puts it back on the counter and Mark gets a free treat as a thank you.

Outside, Mark is knocked to the ground from behind by the embarrassed shoplifter and Mark defends himself, easily besting the much larger guy.

Across the street, Jimmy (40) a washed-up former fighter and penniless hustler, witnesses the whole thing. Not being one to miss out on an opportunity he quickly introduces himself and makes Mark a proposition. Bare-knuckle fighting with the chance to win $2,000 a fight. Deep in debt with his mother's $37,000 medical bill, he jumps at the chance.

In his first fight, Mark is pitched against an undefeated up-and-comer. He wins the fight and the promoter and man in charge, Dan Black, gives him his card, wasting no time trying to worm his way into Mark's good books and nudge Jimmy out. Dan and Jimmy have an unpleasant history.

When Mark agrees to let Jimmy be his manager he moves in and they train together 24/7. Mark quickly gains a following on the fight circuit and develops and following making more and more money to pay off their debts.

Kelly and Mark begin to date and get close. Learning that her brother died in an organized fight he has to keep what he does for a living from her to keep from losing her.

When Mark becomes the number one fan favorite in such a short time, Dan Black offers him the chance to clear off all his debts in one fight. A fixed fight with an undefended monster of a fight called GARLING, with a guaranteed win. But after hearing about the fix-up and not trusting Dan, Jimmy makes Mark promise not to fight.

After Mark goes behind Jimmy's back and accepts, making Dan a load of money, it's just the beginning as Dan sees much more money to be made in a re-match, and this time there's no guaranteed win.

After Mark refuses to fight he finds Jimmy's house as been petrol bombed. Luckily Jimmy is okay with only minor injuries.

Now with both of their lives on the line, Mark must step up and win the fight of his life or risk losing it to the mob.
