Synopsis/Details
12-Year-Old Brenda is a seventh-grade student and is constantly bullied for being the smartest girl. The other girls break her glasses and when she is at a sleepover, the girls cut her hair. Rather than accept defeat, Brenda returns to school and vocally speaks about her book report and shows her bullies she is a lot stronger than they thought. Brenda's mother, Claire announces they are moving to California. Brenda is hesitant at first but gives in to the idea. Finally making it to their new home, Claire and Brenda are greeted by Elliot. Their husband and father. Years later, Brenda is a law student, in a relationship with another law student, Pete, who cheats on her. Pete is arrested for engaging in prostitution. With nothing but disgust for Pete, Brenda breaks up with him.
