During Covid-19 MAX continues to work as his friends and family are loosing their jobs and quarantining.
He is a photocopier technician. Not a glorious job but one that needs to be done.
New challenges arise as social distancing and preventative measures continue to cut him off from society.
Previous to Covid-19 Max struggled with keeping his job in a limited form. No longer able to service noise complaints, phoning customers or other hearing related difficulties that arose.
Now ASL (American Sign Language) training has been suspended and ASL friends not accessible.
Businesses lock their doors and put up signs “Call for Entry”. Lip reading and hand gestures are no longer assets.
Max continues to navigate empty streets as finds new ways to communicate and looks to the future when he can be a functioning part of society again.
Worried that he will not be able to provide for his family in the post Covid world.
