Synopsis/Details
An unseen pod races across the night sky and crashes into the small lake just outside of a very small, winter-isolated town, unleashing billions of particles of undetected, unstoppable, and untraceable malicious alien DNA. A couple sits in a car at the lake making out, and six deer drink from the lake... this will not end well. Mark Hackwell, a hometown boy, suddenly returns to town after 10 years in the military, shocking the residents. He had left without notice 10 years before after a tragedy. Mark's timing could not be worse. The next morning a hysterical girl runs into the town stark naked. She is traumatized and claims that her boyfriend has "turned into a monster". Sheriff Jack Brenner enlists Mark's help to go investigate. What they find completely unsettles them - the boyfriend's face, completely intact, but no body and no boyfriend. They decide to search for the boyfriend... and the horror begins. With the deer, the boyfriend, and anyone or anything that comes in contact with the lake, the undetected malicious alien DNA has begun to creep further and further into the surroundings, including the nearby town. The DNA mixes with anything that has even a minute trace of DNA - with exceptionally chilling, horrific, and terrifying results. Anything and everything infected with the alien DNA becomes 50 percent alien... this includes humans, animals (dogs, deer, rabbits, insects, etc.) as well as trees and plants. Even the long dead whose remains are infected are resurrected with a chilling and horrific mixture of decomposed human DNA and alien DNA. The terrified townspeople are trapped with no way out, and no way to communicate with the outside world. They are completely on their own. Led by Mark, a small group bands together in an attempt to battle and eliminate the infected residents, infected animals, resurrected dead, and the unseen, untraceable, and seemingly unstoppable malicious alien DNA before it overtakes all of them and the entire area... making it ground zero for the alien species to make earth their new planet. 15 film festival wins to date.

The Writer: Mike Briock

I attended film school, which included a screenwriting course. I had always been interested in writing, and I strongly gravitated to screenwriting while in film school. I was determined to learn how to write screenplays the proper way. I have mastered screenwriting through the school of hard knocks... and hard work. I stayed with it, learned from my mistakes, worked very hard and long to learn the right way. I worked as a script reader. I also worked with produced screenwriters. I write everyday. I have four rules I write by... write, delete, edit, rewrite. I tend to write "clean and lean" screenplays which are fast read. The hard work has paid off to a degree. Four of my screenplays have… Go to bio
