Synopsis/Details
Jude is approaching 40 and still searching for the one. He's convinced he'll know who she is based on the quality of their "meet cute". The object of his affection is Maria, a thirty-ish horse carriage driver who is so fearful of commitment she won't even sign a lease. Aided by the elderly residents at the nursing home he manages, Jude courts Maria and succeeds - for a while. After their breakup, Jude must examine why he is so eager to settle down, or if he even is at all. This script has everything - weddings, deaths, a horse enema, and turkey bacon.

Barbara McCormick-Thomas is a comedy writer based in Dallas, Texas. Her films have been screened in festivals throughout the US and the United Kingdom and her plays have been performed locally and in Canada. She has also written for the nationally syndicated top forty radio program, Kidd Kraddick in the Morning. In 2018, she wrote, produced and directed a parody web series.
