Synopsis/Details
At a bus station in Mobile, Alabama, Emery gets on a bus to California to escape her abusive boyfriend, Taylor.
In the garden, Nick Valens is awakened by the devil to go to be alive again and help a mystery person, to which Nick insults her for being a child with a tantrum. Nick awakens in Robbie's body, a comic bookstore owner.
Emery, a woman struggling with domestic violence from her boyfriend, runs away to California. Robbie gets on the same bus as her. The two become close on their little journey.
Taylor, Emery's former boyfriend, is on her tail, driving across the country to get her back.
After a day of traveling, Emery makes it to Los Angeles and attempts to enter into a women's shelter, but the shelter is burnt down.
