Life is a roller-coaster, especially when you’re trapped on one. When an engaged couple becomes unwitting prisoners at the apex of a broken-down roller-coaster ride, the metaphor is never more apt.

Synopsis/Details
Cautious Devon and fun-loving Candice ‘enjoy’ a day at a theme park. Devon had already chickened out of several rides, which Candice is not happy with, but to prove a point, he gets on the roller coaster with his fiancé. The cars make their way slowly to the first pinnacle, which concerns Devon. It stops, and… it stays put. Devon starts to panic and grips the safety bar in fear while Candice remains calm. An announcement over the public address system explains that there is a fault, but the ride will resume imminently. A crowd starts to gather below, and amongst them, Candice’s eagle eyes spot a female work colleague, Melissa, who, according to her, has more than a passing interest in her intended. Melissa waves at them. Candice is not amused. She sees this as a threat and immediately tries to tie Devon down to a location for their nuptials – a conversation he had been avoiding for some time, mainly due to him wanting a wedding in Barbados, the country of his birth and South London, where Candice’s family hail from. But more than anything, she wants Devon to make a leap of faith and finally sort out the wedding. Another announcement confirms that the riders will soon be on their way. Devon wonders if they’ll go forward to complete their ride or backwards to the starting point. This notion gives him an idea. He offers Candice a deal – if the ride continues forward, she gets her wish, and a church in South London will host their wedding, but if they move backwards to the start, he’ll get his way. Candice triumphs as the coaster cautiously moves forward, only to stop again and reverse back to the start station. Devon is jubilant and finally releases his grip on the safety carrier. Candice’s disappointment is short-lived as her man has finally made his leap of faith, and they will finally get married.
