Synopsis/Details
In the family comedy “Love, Armenian Style”, Jay stops trying after reevaluating his long string of failed relationships with the opposite sex. Despite his best efforts, circumstance places him headlong into an unexpected, long distance romance with an Armenian beauty. Realizing that this could be his last chance at happiness; he bites the bullet, pops the question, and buys a plane ticket. For the next twenty one days, Jay is thrust into a culture clash of epic proportions. Before reaching the altar, many adventures await the first time traveller, including getting kidnapped on his first day in the country. From flying around the streets in harrowing taxi rides to tour the sights to planning the wedding, adventure is never too far away. Besides the physical elements to navigate, Jay must also address the personal ones. How Jay interacts with a family that doesn’t speak any English will make the viewer both cringe and laugh. Simple conversations and gatherings that would be simple to natives become nearly impossible tasks for Jay to overcome. The overall theme in Love, Armenian Style is that love is worth it, no matter how far the distance or how outrageous the obstacles are standing in your way.

The Writer: John Serafinko

My name is John and I have been writing for as long as I can remember. As far as writing resumes are concerned, this is mine. I haven’t won any awards as of yet because I have only recently began screenwriting, but I have made the Top Ten in a few weekly online contests. I have also self-published a novel. Since shifting my interest to screenwriting I have written four features and a one hour drama pilot. I look forward to meeting fellow screenwriters and learning from them while helping when I can.
