Synopsis/Details
In a small, American, Southeast town a massage business hangs in the balance. As the owner does everything in his power to make things work, he must contend with the unique factors that plague his everyday existence. The diverse team of therapists want nothing more than the success of the business, but happiness doesn’t come easy in massage therapy. When their personal lives aren’t enough to throw havoc into the mix, the roster of zany clients are happy to lend their assistance putting things over the top. What started out as a business in the spirit of helping the community, results in love, friendship, drama, and chaos; anything but a day at the spa! Characters: Joel – (40’s) is the manager of the Michelin Star Spa. Joel means well, however his lack of managerial experience coupled with his first love of wanting to become a chef does not make him the best candidate to run this inherited business. Steve – (30’s) is the voice of reason between the two male therapists. He constantly is pressed to handle situations when things get chaotic. Mike – (30’s) is Steve’s opposite. Mike’s loose cannon antics and smart mouth are not always the reason things go wrong, but when they do it’s probably a good bet that he will make it worse. Sasha – (40’s) is a strong-willed veteran therapist that won’t hesitate to speak her mind regardless of the circumstances. Savannah – (20’s) is the baby of the group. The spa is her first post-graduation job. Her naïve ways are sure to test her once things get out of control. Geri – (50’s) is the spa’s resident grouch. Although a competent therapist, her short temper and inability to accept change jeopardizes the flow of return customers. In the end though, Geri’s behavior is just for show. Chrissy – (50’s) is Geri’s opposite, and best friend. Chrissy’s cheerfulness knows no bounds. Her ability to accept any tragedy with a smile makes her loved and sometimes hated by the staff and clients alike.

The Writer: John Serafinko

My name is John and I have been writing for as long as I can remember. As far as writing resumes are concerned, this is mine. I haven’t won any awards as of yet because I have only recently began screenwriting, but I have made the Top Ten in a few weekly online contests. I have also self-published a novel. Since shifting my interest to screenwriting I have written four features and a one hour drama pilot. I look forward to meeting fellow screenwriters and learning from them while helping when I can.
