Synopsis/Details
It's "Gremlins" meets "Die Hard" when an alien mothership links up with a U.S. communications satellite and begins faxing its invasion force to Earth as email attachments. Targeted as the launch point for their invasion is Fillmore, California——a small town north of Los Angeles whose unsuspecting citizens conclude that the unusual transmissions are nothing more than junk mail. Once the alien creatures attached to the emails escape from the computers and come to life, all hell breaks loose, and the alien assault force decimates most of Fillmore's population with relative ease. Which is when Eddie Slate enters the picture. A former hitman for the mob hiding out in Fillmore before testifying against his ex-bosses, Slate unexpectedly finds himself alone and on the run after the alien invaders kill the two Federal agents guarding him. Seeking to escape Fillmore and save his life, Slate is instead drawn into a deadly battleground, pitting him and a handful of brave survivors against their otherworldly foes. With the persistent aliens biting and fighting at their heels every step of the way, Slate and his resourceful companions discover their only chance for defeating their monstrous adversaries lies within a U.S. government satellite tracking station in the hills overlooking the town. Against this backdrop, Slate and the remaining survivors face the alien invaders in a final confrontation of death and destruction from which only one side can emerge victorious.
