Synopsis/Details
After returning from training young athlete Luke decides to continue training and goes for a run. He runs through the metropolitan streets often receiving glances from passersby. Luke's run leads him to the more deprived parts of the city, unbothered he continues running approaching a underpass. He notices a boy slightly younger than him cycling behind him. Luke enters the underpass and finds himself cornered by three boys whose faces are in hidden by hoodies and scarves/balaclavas. The leader of the boys demands Luke's phone and wallet but one of the other boys steps in-between. The boy reveals himself as one of Luke's neighbours growing up, Marcus. Marcus persuades the other boys to let him past insisting that he's one of their own. Before Luke leaves he gives them his remaining cash and goes. Outside the underpass Luke notices a man on his way from work approaching it. Luke calls to warn him but decides against it and returns home. Safe in his apartment Luke watches the city skyline and hears sirens wailing in the distance. He closes the blinds and leaves for his bedroom but the wailing of the sirens continue.

The Writer: Patrick Foster

Freelance scriptwriter based in Manchester, UK. I've worked on various freelance independent productions working as an editor, videographer and general assistant. In what little spare time I have I try writing scripts both short and feature films. Hoping to eventually have the funds and network to make one myself. Some of the scripts that I'm sharing have already been picked up directors and producers but unfortunately for various reasons the production was put on indefinite hiatus and now I've decided put these scripts on the public domain. Please note scripts that are samples only are Not part of the public domain. I hope you enjoy them and I would appreciate any feedback. Go to bio
