Synopsis/Details
During WW II, Jewish American Paratrooper, Sergeant Justin Freedman and his squad come face to face with German Soldiers in the Ardennes during the Battle of the Bulge in 1944. Justin is mortally wounded and the German soldier who shot him comforts him as he dies. A century later Justin wakes up at a resurrection center in a “New World” where he is greeted by a man named Max Schuler, who is assigned to be Justin’s instructor and guide for life in this New World. The Earth is a global paradise where the people are all young and healthy, at peace with each other and even with wild animals. Pollution, illness, poverty, crime, and war no longer exist. No one dies, and no one grows old. Even the weather is perfect every day, and there is only one global Government that is ruled from Heaven. Justin is reunited with his family, themselves having been resurrected, and they have the prospect of living forever in paradise. But eventually the past catches up to Justin when he learns that Max is the German soldier who killed him.
