To Kill For

Suspended cop Frank is drowning his sorrows in a dive bar. Whilst there he meets the young Dolores and they get talking. Before long they are back at Frank's apartment making love. Dolores soon reveals to Frank she is frightened for her life and wishes him to protect her. Some men have been hired to kill her to prevent her from testifying in court. Frank agrees to help her. Later that night Dolores is tracked down at Frank's apartment by a mysterious man. Frank saves Dolores' life and shoots the mysterious man dead. Frank wraps up the body ready to dispose of it, but as he leaves his apartment a second man appears ready to kill him. Frank is too quick and shoots the second man dead. He takes the two bodies to a wood to bury them, but in the process discovers a wallet on one of the bodies containing a detective badge. Frank returns home to find Dolores waiting for him, gun in hand. She reveals to Frank she's a wanted criminal and was surprised he didn't recognise her seeing as he's a cop. She apologises for using him and then shoots him, leaving him to die.
