Original Series – pilot episode “The Rose”

PRINCESS NITOCRIS (Rose) (early 20s) is a peaceful and enlightened strong woman with dreams of being crowned Queen of Egypt. However, fate takes her on a dark path when AMON (late 30s), a ruthlessly ambitious high priest driven by lust, assaults her on her wedding day and murders her groom. This horrific experience ends her dreams and releases a new and strange feeling, revenge. Amon is intoxicated by Rose’s beauty. His crime comes at a heavy expense; the Divine Assessor set his punishment and banish him from the afterlife until he harvests one billion souls. Outcast to eternal doom, Amon along with his regrettable sidekick JOHN (late 20s) begin the collection process using plagues, disease and pandemics to reopen their path to the underworld, Duat.

While John finds immense joy in their travels through time, Amon grows bitter. The weight and pace of gathering a billion souls progresses much too slow; however, just when all is lost, John brings distracting news that they are being pursued. John fears the Divine Assessors are not pleased while Amon feels another presence. Rose, the object of his lust, has foregone the afterlife to revenge a death. Amon is being hunted; he could not be happier. The games begin as two souls, cast to eternal doom, weave through time using the tools of religion and science as the hunter becomes the hunted. Will good prevail, or will Amon finally posses what he has always wanted, the Rose?

A ruthless tale of good versus evil winds us through history and connects dots never intended to be connected. The science of time, limited by human creation, is unlocked exposing and religion takes center stage in a conflict where there is no happy endings, just new beginnings, as Egyptian mythology is retold in the human race to the afterlife.
