Synopsis/Details
A disorientated and alienated FRANK (30s) wears a Stetson as he cycles the high street of one of Britain’s contemporary urban sprawls. He's out of luck, out of time and out of here - if only he could find an exit from the endless ‘wilderness’ that is today's suburbia. He cycles right on inside a pub, to get drunk, having been offered a job he can't refuse, otherwise he'll lose unemployment benefits. Being the only customer this early, he faces down the only person running the place - barmaid SIGRID. She can't give him a quadruple shot in one glass: it’s totally against the rules! As an unstoppable force is set on course against an immovable object, visions of other possibilities ensue. The earth seems destined to move for both of them - love seemingly the only escape available amid the world’s colossal systemic failures not of their making. (Two characters, two locations - present day)
